1938 Goudey Baseball Card Set Guide
Set Description
The 1938 Goudey set is quite interesting. The set is commonly referred to as "Goudey Heads Up", as the design features a cartoon body with an oversized head of the specific player. Collectors either love it or hate it. The numbering system for the 1st card in the set starts at #241, which would be a continuation of the 1933 Goudey set. There are 24 different players featured twice in the set. Series 1 shows the player with a blank background. Series 2 depicts duplicate cards but the background contains cartoons or facts about the player in small print. This set is small and somewhat quirky but contains rookies of Joe Dimaggio and Bob Feller

Fresh Find of 1933-1938 Goudey With Babe Ruth
*Fresh Hobby Find* 1933-38 Goudey Collection with Babe Ruth, Lou a Gehrig, Bob Feller, Hank Greenberg, Jimmie Foxx, and tons more! This collection is from the family of the original owner. They were passed down to the great nephew who decided to sell them. It ranges from 1933 goudey up until 1941 Double Plays.
1933 Goudey: highlighted by a nice Babe Ruth #144 and Moe Berg
1934 Goudey: features a "well loved" Lou Gehrig #37
1934-36 Batter Up: consists of a ton of stars including Fox, Ott, Hornsby, Dean, Gehringer, and many more.
1938 Goudey Heads Up: These cards were the most interesting of the bunch. The other sets were clearly played with, showing signs of wear. This specific year looked like the owner opened the pack and put them right in a box. They are immaculate! And check out the big names- Feller rookie, Foxx, Greenberg, Gehringer, all in high grade!
1941 Double Play: These cards were also in very nice shape. Highlights from this year were a Ted Williams and Jimmie Foxx
